Cheese or no Cheese?

Thoughts?

  1. let's pretend for a moment that cheese isn't full of hormones, pus, bacteria, etc. for a moment... most cheese in America is really bland. Imo, it does not add enough flavor to counteract how bad it is for our diet. It is full of saturated fat and therefore calories. It's the easiest thing to leave off of burritos and salads, saving you quite a few calories. Chances are you won't notice the difference blind folded.

Now, I will admit, that despite how I know cheese is terrible for you and the cows, I do still enjoy the taste of a real aged cheese, soft or hard.

I feel that if you want to indulge a little (and harm some cows you won't ever personally meet), it's okay. Moderation is key.

Problem is, in general, America does not know what moderation means. So, I vote: get rid of it until you know better!

  2. I love the idea of eating a brie and apple plate with fresh sourdough. I've been overly concerned with saturated fat lately, and cheese is nothing *but* fat. Plus the dairy industry is a crock and we all know that. I think moderation is the key however I dont think thats possible to be a moderate cheese eater and american.

Instead of having it on EVERYTHING, we should eat it solo. As a treat.
